HQ Quarterly
The goal of HQ Quarterly is to allow all Haikyuu fans a chance for their art/stories/photos/etc. to be published.This event is open to everyone. Anyone who fills out an application will be allowed to submit a piece to the collection.Once an application period closes, no one else will be allowed to join until our next application round.Creators will have 8-10 weeks to create and submit their work.All submitted work will be formatted into a zine-style pdf and shared for free via twitter.
Our fourth issue will be "Winter Chill" ❄️Issue 4 Applications: Sept 1-15th

Application Guidelines:All applications will be accepted during the sign up period. Each sign up will last from the 1st to 15th of the sign up month.You’re free to interpret the theme as you want, but it should relate in some way! Variety is the spice of life and you can take the whole application period to think of an idea.No need to provide links to previous works. Instead, build your application from an idea! Mods will provide 3 prompts that you can use as a starting point, or think of your own.Give us an idea of this — it could be 200 words for a fic, a pencil sketch or a MS paint quality art idea. Maybe you’re a cosplayer and have an idea for a shoot? Maybe you’re super interested in creating the perfect fandom playlist?Indicate which tier you feel you can hit within the creation period.If you know, feel free to include the characters/ships you would include.Let us know what you want to create!
Specs:Artists:
Pieces should be on a 6 x 9 portrait canvas, 300 dpi, and should be RGB for best digital color.
Tiers are black and white sketch, flat color, or full render.
Those who indicated wanting to do the cover will be selected via a randomizer. It will be your choice if you also want to include a piece in the issue, but the cover will take priority.
*Mods will contact the selected cover artist directly.Writers:
Pieces will have a MAX word count of 2000. A 250 max over the WC is acceptable.
Tiers are 500, 1000, and 2000 words.
If you indicated a lower tier and go over, that’s fine! Write however you feel comfortable, including the style details you want included (ex. italics)
All formatting will be done via InDesign to keep styles consistent.Cosplay:
Can submit up to 2 photos from your shoot.
Photos should also be sized to 6 x 9 to fully fit on the pages.Other media creators:
If what you’re creating links to an outside playlist or video, feel free to decorate a page to your theme/idea or supply a track listing.Be creative with it!

All mods are 18+ and will remain anonymous. If this bothers you in any way, please don’t feel obligated to contribute if you don’t want to.As mods, we want to create a zine-like experience with no preconceptions, no judgment or suggested bias. We stay anonymous to promote the talent in the zines in a way where 100% of the focus is on creators and their content, however they choose to create. We in no way intend to be recognized and have been transparent about this since the beginning. We just want to have fun and let everyone have their work published in a way that brings joy to the Haikyuu community!
General Guidelines1. Everyone is welcome to participate.2. You must submit an application to contribute to the fan collection.3. SFW and NSFW options will be available. You will have to indicate whether you plan to include NSFW in your piece so mods can separate the content.
Minors will not be able to create NSFW content.

All work created for the fan collection can be published one month after the collection release date.9.
